Updates and Thoughts on Culture…Pt3 ;)

Hey everyone, it’s been a while since my last update!

I’ve been away for a good reason. I have been working on a children’s book alongside a group of incredibly talented writers. It has been a blast and the process has been eye-opening.

Beyond the writing itself, I found myself using skills I used fairly a lot in tech, like aspects of product management. Coordinating timelines, balancing creative visions, and keeping the project moving forward. Overall it has taught me lessons I’ll carry into future projects and it still continues to teach me more and more!

Now, onto the highlights of these past few months.

PC: Lauren Kim

First, Laufey. Her music has been nothing short of breathtaking. Listening to her feels like stepping into a wonderland, except it’s a wonderland of yourself. It is simple in surface beauty, but layered with subtle truths about longing, memory, and human connection. Every song feels handcrafted, built not just to entertain but to hold space for emotion. Something to which due to Carti epidemic has been missing for a long time. Her live performances add yet another dimension, blending conversational storytelling with classical training, making each concert feel intimate even in large stadiums and venues. Laufey reminds us that music can still be literature in sound, both delicate and enduring, and she represents a rare bridge between tradition and modernity that invites listeners of all ages to pause and feel.

PC: https://kimetsu-no-yaiba.fandom.com/wiki/Infinity_Castle , I am sure they got it from the trailer/movie!

Next, the Demon Slayer movie. This was a rollercoaster of a film. The pacing occasionally stumbles under the weight of so much backstory, but once the battles come on the screen, you are immediately warped into the visuals. The animation was stunning, the fights were some of the best in the series, and the emotional punches landed hard. It was, in many ways, a tear-filled yet exhilarating experience. A mix of heartbreak and pure spectacle that only Demon Slayer can deliver.

PC: Their album cover!

Finally, Twenty One Pilots’ new album. The band took risks here, experimenting with new vocal textures and song structures. At first listen, the shift feels unexpected, but with each track it becomes clear that the experimentation isn’t gimmick but growth. The lyrics carry their usual blend of vulnerability and urgency, while the production feels fresher and more expansive. It’s an album that rewards repeated listens, each time revealing something new — a layered reflection of a band still unafraid to evolve.

That’s it for now. Thanks for reading, and sorry again for the long lag between updates. I promise it’s because I’ve been working on something cool. It is a mix between coordinating timelines, balancing creative visions, and keeping projects moving forward.

Thanks for reading.
PS: Here is a flower because you deserve it. (coded in HTML of course) and new article dropping on Sunday!
