Fantastic 4: My Biased, But Honest Take

Just watched Fantastic 4, and here’s the thing: I went in hyped. Like, unrealistically hyped, so part of me was bracing for disappointment. And weirdly enough, it both disappointed and didn’t. That’s what makes this review totally biased… but also very real.

Marvel has finally remembered how to tell a story and that’s been missing for too long. Between Thunderbolts, this film, and even that questionably necessary Ironheart show, you can feel a shift. It’s like Disney’s finally listening again.

Fantastic 4 wasn’t perfect, but it had soul. The story hit emotional beats that landed. Characters weren’t just moving set pieces. It actually felt like Marvel was trying to win us back, not just cash another check.

Honestly, it’s about time. For the review with spoilers, check under!

Okay First of all.

Again this has spoilers. You have been warned.

I am being serious!

Okay so as I was saying,

Silver surfer was perfectly cast. She had the right backstory, right reasons to betray Galactus in the end and then find a way to “redeem herself”. The best thing about is that she went with him. Interesting how they spun that part of the story off. (Silver surfer is always Galactus’s pawn in the beginning and then realizes the mistakes…. then ends up fighting Galactus)

There were some discrepancies with the film overall though. Especially with how they quantify strength.

The Thing can literally pull a whole ship, but can’t land a solid punch on Galactus making him lose his balance?

I know Galactus is “hungry” and “weak” but buildings are his support beam? That doesn’t make sense.

ALSO SUE? Where did all that power come from? It made no sense but we all need that old school “it doesn’t make sense”. Something which we took for granted in 2000’s. But pop off I guess!

Why didn’t we see him actually fight fight? We just saw him walk, stretch, and you can’t hype him up and then give us nothing. I’m guessing the CGI budget got tight and they didn’t want to risk bad visuals ruining the scene but still.

That post credit scene though was perfect! I have a lot of theories, that frankly I am too disorganized to write down. It was PERFECTION.

I’ve got theories. So many theories. But I’m too scattered to write them down right now. Just know: I see where this is headed. Let’s talk timelines, cameos, multiverse chaos… all of it.
